South Korean Delegation Explores 'The Preston Model' at D'Urton Grange
We were honored to host a special delegation from South Korea at D'Urton Grange, Preston. The distinguished group, including six esteemed government officials from various provinces and districts of Seoul, joined Cllr Matthew Brown, Leader of Preston City Council, for a deep dive into 'The Preston Model' and the city's pioneering work on Community Wealth Building.
The morning was packed with presentations on Preston's journey in Community Wealth Building, emphasizing progressive procurement, real living wage advocacy, and cooperative work environments. In the afternoon, our guests explored the Mandala Centre, a city wellness hub. They also visited the worker cooperative, a recent addition supported by Preston City Council and the Cooperative Development Network.
Next on the itinerary was a visit to D'Urton Grange, our modern new-build development in Preston. With a mix of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes available for outright sale and through Shared Ownership.
