It’s exciting times for Laurus Homes as recently we have announced several new developments with the latest three just some that form part of an ever-expanding pipeline of new homes coming soon across the North West.
First up we will be delivering 18 high quality family homes in Whalley Range. The development will see 18 four bedroom townhouses being built on a now unused part of the St. Bede’s College off Alness Road. St. Bede’s, now an independent Catholic grammar school, was founded in 1876 and celebrated its’ 140th anniversary last year.
The development will be named “Scholars Walk” with reference to its association with the college. The development, situated in a desirable part of Manchester, is located just one mile south of Manchester City Centre, is adjacent to one of Manchester’s premier schools, and is close to green space in the form of the recently renovated Alexandra Park.
We will also soon be starting 26 new homes, being built on former Salford College site off Edge Fold Road in Walkden.
The development will offer a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes on the now redundant campus site and will offer a range of homes for sale and rent with options for Help to Buy and Shared Ownership.
Situated in the popular and highly desirable area of Walkden, the development, named “Pembroke Green” is close to several well performing schools and colleges to suit those with families. The development overlooks Parr Fold Park and is just a short walk from nearby Ellesmere Shopping Centre and Retail Park.
Pembroke Green off Edge Fold Road will provide much needed new homes for locals across a range of tenures, including Shared Ownership and rent.
As a profit-for-purpose organisation, at Pembroke Green we have been able to use profits made on previous developments to be able to offer more Shared Ownership homes than were required to at planning stage, which we expect to be a big helping hand to locals looking to get on the property ladder.
This is Laurus Homes first development in Salford, and we are pleased to see that Salford College will be reinvesting all proceeds from the sale of its land across all of its campus locations to further benefit those in the local education system.
Laurus Homes will also return to Partington with new affordable housing options. Following the success of Laurus Homes Aspen Place development earlier this year, Laurus returns to Partington to begin work on a further 22 affordable homes, bringing the total to 35 Shared Ownership homes provided by the developer in this location.
The development, situated on Lock Lane near to the Bridgewater Canal has been named “Egerton Rise”, in homage to the canal’s commissioner, Francis Egerton. Egerton Rise will contribute towards the wider regeneration of the Partington area by providing a variety of good quality 2, 3 and 4 bedroom much needed homes.
Partington has historically seen a large proportion of properties being offered solely on a rental basis, and so, Laurus are proud to be able to offer residents the opportunity to now make their first steps onto the housing ladder.
This is Laurus second affordable development in Partington, and we’re really pleased to be able to offer Shared Ownership again as we know it’s in great demand in Partington and expect these to be snapped up as soon as we launch for sale next year.
